Very nice (albeit perhaps a bit poppy)up beat and optimistic track, and the vocals really do sound good. An all round lovely way to start my day!

After a few more listens-thru, I could see Call evolving similar to Lonely Boy where it would work in several formats, but might work best (and evoke the most visceral response) by making it a bit more ballad-y. Or I could be way off base-just a thought that had occurred to me.

Overall a great song! I absoutly love the begining. I would'nt change anything about the music and the only suggestion I could make is the chorus. I don't know maybe I'll change my mind after it grows on me with a few more listens but I feel the chorus could be a little longer. The song is AWESOME but it doesn't have that chorus that jumps out at you and I know that not all songs need that but I feel this song could be a really special song with it. I don't know like I said maybe with a few more listens I'll feel i'm wrong.

Hey! You guys get your copy yet of Year 2 on CD? Mine just arrived...didn't get to spin through it yet though....eagerly anticipating the drive in to work tomorrow...stereo pumpin', speakers thumpin'...

...did notice the ink is still wet yet--I actually smeared it a lil pulling it from the case. Hot off the presses!

Having spun through the Year 2 CD a few times now...I am struck with just how good KICK is...or could be with just a bit more tweaking. I really like that one.

Oh, and GIVE ME SOMETHING is just a tad silly. ;-)

Hmm...I'm still waiting on my Year 2 CD. Has everyone else gotten it yet or is it just me?

I got one and I didn't even choose to get one (IIRC we had a choice when signing up for year 3 and I choose the option with the CD...)

hallo & g'day,

I slid out of my sick bed to get this out to y'all. thinking I shoulda got that flu shot or something.

anyway, I couldn't wait tlll I got better to start playing with my new webcam, so this month's issue features a little youtubesque vid of me playing my way through "ghost in your mind" in my studio. can't say it's my finest vocal moment but it's the first take so what the hell...

also got a strange, loungy thing I don't know what to do with -- check the mp3 at the usual address.

see you,
p

First and foremost, as someone in the medical field...push the water and juice, take your vitamins and get feelin better soon Paul!

Second...the lounge vibe is, well, interesting. The thought of BL on stage in Vegas is tempting...not crazy about the 'front and center' trumpets but understand their place...the techno undercurrent is interesting. Lyrically, the first two lines are a bit predictable but set up the rest of the song so it's forgivable.

Scale of 1 to 10...I give it a non-committal 4. Sorry, just not my thing.
