Absoutly loved it!!! Just like give me something last year it's awesome. This is exactly what I love about the mp3 club, the stuff that's out there. Don't get me wrong I love the typical bl stuff like broken heart, good, etc,, but this stuff is what makes the club so cool. Keep it coming, maybe a little more punk rock too. I would love to hear fifth grade with different lyrics (maybe a little more serious) like you did with good.

In terms of the off the wall factor this is definitely the most out there M3M club track so far! In so far as the track is a black lab track, it's definitely not, but it's still pretty cool. Sounds a lot like The Go! Team, which is no bad thing really

whoa, just found the track. did everyone else get an email? or was it just posted here?

anyhow, I second most of what's been said. this one is, well, unique. that's not bad, but it's a bit of a departure from what we're used to. I'm digging on the beats underneath this kind of sound, though.

Yeah I got no email either... grr... still, managed to get hld of it just as I got in tonight. Man... this is what the MP3 of the month is all about, experimentation and randomness, and I f'ing love it. Totally different to everything I've heard from the 'Lab. Testament to your versatality and creativity Paul. Thanks, really love it 8)

I didn't receive an e-mail either and I haven't had a problem with that since I changed it earlier on in the year soon after I started my subscription.

But I found it the day it was posted, so it's all good... (Yeah, I check that page like three times a day after the start of the month.)

It's taken me a while for me to decide what to say about the track. I'll just leave it at "I don't like it." Definitely props to Paul for having the guts to experiment so much though.

On a side note, I just realized that I never got my Year 2 CD. I see that some of you have, and others are in the same boat as me. Why oh why must I be tormented? ;)

Woop, the email worked this time!
I reeeally like this months track, especially the chorus. Sounds very of the Durham era (which is no bad thing), but with a modern Black Lab update I think it could well be a very firm favourite!

It took me a few listens-through to grasp the fullness of this song...and now I have to 100% agree with TRN. It does have a flavor from the Durham era (again, a very good thing) and has strong lyrics and feel...could use a bit of a modernization/upgrade if it were to be included on a future CD (which it should be!)

Piece It Back Together has the feel of a powerful ballad...could see any number of directions with it, though. Regardless, it's a keeper-and a very good one at that!

...also love the slide over the strings at the very end. Nice touch.

yeah I absolutely love it ! as usual there's something melancholic in this "piece it back together" track. I would be pretty curious to hear with a full instrumentation, not only a guitar line.

I finally got the money to resubscribe! It's been a lean year. Still waiting on the email with the link info though, it's been two days and I am checking my email every ten minutes with hope in my heart, LOL.
