Man i HATE Powderfinger. They are the most overrated Australian band ever.

Anyway.... a little piece of trivia... Tom Lord-Alge, who produced the STS album with Andy and Paul mixed all Wallflowers albums (except the first I think).

Stoka you're missing out. The Wallflowers are one of my all time favourite bands. There are some great tracks on the album 'Red Letter Days' as well as the ones Craig mentioned from other albums. I have the 'Rebel, Sweetheart' album as a dual disc.... stereo on one side and a 5.1 surround mix on the other. Pretty cool. They might not sound alike but Jakob is the spitting image of a younger Bob.

And while we're admitting to obsessive tendencies, my little 6 week old boy is named Jakob. :P

I enjoy Powderfinger. But I don't listen to them that often. I will admit they're one of the bands I can't listen to for extended periods of time. But on occasion....

Lol Kris, that's awesome, nice bit of trivia too. I went out and bought Red Letter Days and Bringing Down The Horse on impulse. Love both the albums and play one or the other or both at least once a day... seriously good stuff! Jakob did a performance on 'Later... with Jools Holland' over here about a fortnight ago. I was so excited but they only let him do 'Evil Is Alive and Well', and let Keane do 3 tracks... shocking... Your right though, it is scary how similar he looks to young Bob.

We get Jools's show here too. I'll keep an eye out.

I don't what RJA was thinking on that song...
Try out Nural's new stuff for a much better version of what RJA was trying to do.

Well, I checked out Nural on your tip, as I am always looking for another good band. Honestly, I can't get into them. Perhaps it's just the three song sample that they have up on myspace right now, but I just couldn't get into them. Thanks, though.

I was up on Pilot Speed there for awhile too (loved Barely Listening), but put the phone down bored me. What's up with new music lately? Anyone got some suggestions? Maybe it's just the cold, long winter graying up my world...

Anything - Black Lab. Damn good to revisit the powerful first disc.
