hey, sure to check out See Red, the debut solo album by Kristin Kelly — listen & buy right here. she and Deej (stray palace!) did an amazing job putting this together and everyone I know who has it is listening to a disturbingly obsessive degree.
also, new free mp3 up now: our demo of “walk slow,” recorded & produced by Matt Wallace (Faith No More, Maroon 5) before YOur Body Above Me was made. this comes from the same sessions that produced the mp3 of the month club demo of “can’t keep the rain,” and feels more raw and vital than the album cut (from YBAM the director’s cut). check the metal at the top!
meanwhile, the album is coming along. worked 35 hours straight last week writing a song I think I’m gonna love and am just now feeling like myself again.
rage!
It may be just because I’m uber keen, but the MP3 doesn’t seem to work. It just dowloads to 352 bytes and doesn’t play, which is gutting because both of the versions of walk slow i’ve heard so far are awesomesause! I’m practically salivating.
crap… working on it.
It downloaded okay for me… and it sounds great, Paul!
It’s working now/ Great song!!! Kristin, you didn’t include the link to your page. Can you add it? I would love to hear your solo project and will definitely purchase it if I like it.
Download worked here. Sounds fantastic Paul. Looking forward to hearing more!
Huzzah! It’s working now. Really great version. It definately feels more raw than the album version. It has a sense of urgency to it that’s great.
Love the feel of this Track , Sounds totally new yet so familiar. Great Stuff !!
Cant wait for the new album, I love See the Sun and Passion Leaves a Trace! I hope the next one is in the same vain as the other 2, if its a new departure well I hope its better then!
hey guys, thx for your input! meanwhile, Kristin’s website is http://kristinseesred.com. info also available on the page here at the link in the post.
Got the CD just a couple of days ago and can’t stop listening to it. Funny: I am a Metal fan, but for some reason Paul’s (and now Kristin’s) voices just draw me in. With Black Lab was the darkness of YBAM that drew me to love the band so much, but everything since has also been amazing just in a different way. The song-writing and Paul’s voice keep me coming back for more, and now the same with Kristin since I heard her on the Cake Or Death CD.
See Red is amazing and I hope it won’t be all we hear from Kristin: hoping for more in the future.
Meanwhile, wondering if there are any plans of offering the ‘free mp3 of the month’ tracks in WAV format at some point?
Hugs and love,
Max
